More from our brilliant walk along the Thames yesterday. Our walk ended at the impressive Thames Barrier. The barrier is made up 10 steel gates and protects Central London from flooding. Without it, the House of Parliament or Tower Bridge would be under water if the sea level rises. With the heavy rain this winter, it has been closed 28 times since December!
