Yes, weather was nice, so John and I went to a Forest! Yes, there are Forests in London and this one is a very nice one, big enough to get lost, which we did... but nice enough to get lost again :-)

A Whale in Greenwich as part of the Greenwich Docklands Cultural festival. The Whale started out at the beach and was moved over when the tide came in. Greenwich played a major part in the Whale industry in the 18th Century, that's what I learned today :-

We did a nice walk on the World's longest Pier today - 1,3 miles (2,1 Kilometer). You can either walk or take the train. It's an experience :-)

Yesterday John and I discovered Mary Rose, a ship built 1512 (!) and sunk serving her last action against the French invasion fleet at 1545. The wreck was rediscovered in 1971 including her dod, who was used to capture rats! The wreck was salvaged in 1982 and has been one of the most complex and expensive projects in the history of maritime archaeology! There are MANY artefacts, not just the dog. To recommend!!!!

We had a sunny and maritime day today at the coast today at Portsmouth. We were up the Spinnaker Tower, were on Victory, flagship of Admiral Nelson from the year 1759. And we went further back in the past and walked by Mary Rose, which dates back to 1545! It was lying under water for 437 years, and what's still there was just opened to the public after 20 years of work on it. Amazing day!
